Tuure Kilpeläinen
Singer-songwriter Tuure Kilpeläinen released his new album “Odotin näpyä, tuli laaka” in the fall of 2025 and is actively touring with his band, consisting of top musicians. Concerts will feature songs from the versatile artist’s entire career, not forgetting the Kaihon Karavaani era.
Having released over a dozen albums during his career, Tuure has been awarded five gold records and three platinum records, as well as several Emma Awards: the Song of the Year (1998) for “Suljettu sydän,” composed for Jonna Tervomaa, Male Soloist of the Year (2011), and the award for Best Traditional Album for three consecutive years – “Valonpisaroita” (2010), “Erämaa” (2011), and “Afrikan tähti” (2012). Additionally, Kilpeläinen was granted the Kullervo Linna Award (2014), and in 2023 he received the Iskelmä-Finlandia Award for his achievements as a versatile songwriter.
At the Ylläs Jazz Blues 2026 festival, Tuure will perform solo at the newly opened Jänkä Resort’s Show & Dinner evening on Thu 22nd of Jan 2026.
